Our production HQ is based in Radlett, Herts, UK.

All our ByBenji Biltong products ; Super Sticks, Training Treats and Biltong Sausage , are made on site in our special drying room in our APHA approved UK Pet Food Warehouse, and made freshly on a  regular  basis.

Left in the fridge, bag open, products can last up to 8 weeks. Kept sealed and out of direct sunlight,  all our products will have at least a twelve month shelf life.

All our products can be frozen pre- and post- opening.

NB: Products may well perish over a week if left in any plastic sealed container, where moisture can lock and mould can form.

We believe our natural dry cured beef treats for dogs are better in every way, because we use the highest quality silverside of beef normally used for making the human version of biltong.

All our meat used is grass fed, not grain fed and we also only use natural herbs in our marinating specifically picked for your dog’s optimal health (teeth, fur and muscles).

We believe that our production process along with our unique use of pure silverside of Beef Muscle Meat , results in ByBenji Biltong being the ultimate High Value meat treat of choice.

When it comes to producing a high value meat treat option, it makes absolute sense to go to a premium cut of only the muscle meat, eliminating excessive gristle and sinew.

We know when it comes to a natural and healthy dog treat, nothing but the best is ever worth serving to your pet, and any imitations of this delicacy is something to be well aware of.

If you spy a similarly named Biltong product with inferior ingredients…that would be Niltong not Biltong!

Cheaper meat cuts or animal parts, such as tendons, may be offered as Biltong, but don’t be mistaken by these treat imitators, as only authentically produced , marinated Biltong made of premium beef can truly call itself Biltong…beware of any imposters!

So called “human biltong” should not be fed to your pet, as it will often include spices, chilli, flavourings, MSG, preservatives and additives plus copious amounts of salt which have not been tested and approved for the pet industry and therefore not pet appropriate.

In this age of cross over products, where the humanisation of canine catering has found itself almost the norm, we are passionate about spreading the message that only a DEFRA approved , dog friendly production process authentically produced, can ensure that any product is safe for your pets.

All our products have been microbiologically tested suitable for humans, however , because we are governed by DEFRA we can only sell it is as a dog treat collection and therefore we only promote it as a dog treat.

Made of only high quality human consumable ingredients,  and a natural dry cured beef steak stick , our biltong is a very healthy and nutritious treat, and when asked, yes absolutely safe and delicious to eat…should your dog allow you!!
